Violin
Madison Bae is 14 years old and she is a 8th grader attending J. Michael Lunsford Middle School. She started her violin music journey at age of 8 with Ms Natalia Yampolsky. She grew up watching her brother be a part of orchestra and performing at concerts, and she was enthralled by the sound of the violin.
Madison is a concert master at J. Michael Lunsford Middle School, was a concert master 2023 Regional Orchestra, and assistant principal 2023 Loudoun All County District Orchestra. Madison’s achievements include prize winner in 2024, 2023 and 2022 NVMTA concerto competition, 2023 NVMTA Judged recital Honor, 2023 Bach-Baroque competition finalist, 1st place in 2021 AYPO(AYDO) concerto competition.
Madison has been a member of AYPO (American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras (https://www.aypo.org/)) since 2019 having held multiple positions ( 2020-2021 AYDO : Concertmaster, 2021-2022 AYSE : Violin 2 Principal and 2022-2023 AYCO : Violin2 Principal). She is currently AYSO and she is one of youngest players. She is also a member of the Fereol Piano Trio, a collaborative effort that she enjoys very much and has won many Trio competitions with her friends.
In her free time, she enjoys playing computer games, cooking and hanging out with her friends. Madison also volunteers at her church as a teacher’s assistant since 6th grade and plays violin with the church choir.

Piano
Jaime Moon, 14, is an eighth grader at J. Michael Lunsford Middle School. She started her musical journey by taking piano lessons with Dr. Miyhang Joo at the age of 5.
Recently, she got the 2nd place winner prize in 2023 YMIC metropolitan music festival, and the 1st place in the same competition in 2022. She was the 2nd place winner in the 2022 NVMTA Concerto Festival and the 2021 Romantic Music Competition in the Charleston International music competition. She was also the winner at the 2021 NVMTA Bach Baroque Festival and the 1st place winner in the 2019 NVMTA concerto festival. Jaime made her 1st performance at Carnegie Hall as a silver winner of piano duets group in the Golden Key International Music Festival in 2019. Also, she won the 1st place winner prize in the solo and the 3rd place winner in the duets group of the 2018 YMIC festival.
Additionally, Jaime finds great joy in collaborative performance. She has been a member of the Fereol trio as a pianist since 2020 under the instruction of Natalia Yampolsky, and the team has been awarded at several music competitions including 2022 American Virtuoso International Music Competition, 2023 East Coast International Competition, and the American Protégé International competition of Romantic Music 2024.
Other than piano, Jaime enjoys playing flute at home and in the band class of school, playing tennis with her friends, and baking with different recipes.

Cello
Brandon Kim, age 15, is a freshman at Oakton High School in Virginia. He started his musical journey with Suzuki piano and was introduced to Cello at age 7.
Brandon loves to play cello with his school Orchestra and perform with his piano trio. He has won first prizes in the Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association Concerto Competition, NVMTA Achievement Awards, Metropolitan Music Festival, and the Elite International Music Competition.
Brandon has been invited to perform at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall as a soloist and as part of a Trio in 2022 and 2024. As a first prize winner of the NVMTA Concerto Competition, he was invited to play as a soloist with the Amadeus Orchestra in McLean, Virginia in 2023.
Brandon is a volunteer cellist for the Arirang Orchestra that performs quarterly for military veterans at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington D.C. He was inspired to join since his father is a Bronze Star recipient, Army war veteran.
Outside of music, Brandon enjoys playing basketball and competing in debate tournaments.
